EnviroGuard Battery Room Assurance Services provides compliance assessment and the recommended periodic maintenance of the battery room compliance equipment mandatory to meet code, regulatory and Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) requirements. Compliance and safety equipment must work as required should an incident occur. Periodic maintenance and verification of safety equipment must be performed as part of a facilities quality, assurance and asset protection programs. Spill Control &
Neutralization Systems

Maintenance is performed to ensure liquid tight spill control and effectiveness of electrolyte neutralization (UFC Article 64, IFC 608, NFPA 52). EnviroGuard provides Lifecycle Management in event neutralization pillows require replacement. Certified recycling and disposal provides convenience and hassle free handling.

Eyewash Stations

Periodic maintenance and operation verification ensures eyewash stations deliver OSHA required flow and prevent bacteria buildup (OSHA 29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1926, ANSI Z358.1).

Signage

Required battery room signage is checked to ensure local, state and federal requirement are met (IFC 608, NFPA 52).

Spill Response Kit

Spill response kits required for first response to hazardous material spill are verified for proper contents (IFC 608, NFPA 52, 29 CFR 1926).

Personal Protection Equipment

OSHA required PPE is checked to ensure proper protection and availability as required (29 CFR 1910, 29 CFR 1926).

Hydrogen Gas Monitors

Hydrogen Gas Monitors are verified and calibrated as recommended by manufacture’s maintenance procedure. Calibration of hydrogen gas monitors is critical to ensure quick response and mitigation in event of build up of potential explosive gases (IFC 608, NFPA 52)
